"Put your phone away."

I thought the newest and most important driving law is no texting while driving. Well, last week I was driving around with Salem and had my phone out texting and a cop pulled up next to me. Of course I pretend like I don't see him because we were driving about 35 miles per hour down Frederica; However, the light turned red and we stopped. The cop inched closer to me and flashed his light for a second so I looked at him. He was signaling me to roll my window down so I did. There were actually two cops in this cop car, the passenger was looking at a big laptop and he rolled his window down too and said, "Put your phone away." So I did... and didn't get a ticket. Thank God.
