Stalked.

Last weekend me and my friend were at Ben Hawes and a truck pulled up and parked a few spaces down from us. We thought nothing of it and just sat there. A few moments later he backs out, and pulls up a few spots closer and that's when it got creepy. We left and went to drive around and we looked back and realized he followed us. After turning into a neighborhood and later seeing him in the neighrborhood parked waiting at the entrance, it was no longer funny. I'm pretty sure we were being stalked and it wasn't as funny as I thought it was. Thinking back, it was pretty scary.

Car is Fixed

My brother got in a car wreck a few months back; luckily, he didn't get any major injuries, however the car did. He had thought it was totalled but just recently his car returned from the dealer, fixed and ready to drive. It was almost brand new when he wrecked it. It was a pretty upsetting car wreck. About a week ago was when we picked it up from the dealer without telling my brother because we surprised him with it one afternoon by driving it up to Louisville. Pretty exciting day.

Got lost... But won.

A couple of weeks ago, our team went up to Meade County to whoop some butt at basketball. A few friends and I wanted to drive up there while not even knowing where the school, or even the county, was located. We decided we'd look at Google Maps before the drive to figure out where we were going to be driving. Turns out, there's a detour on one of  the main roads we'd be doing the driving on. So we end up taking a turn out into the middle of no where and get lost. We arrived at half time and got to see the one-point victory. We won. Off to Rupp.

I was looking at the light.

I was driving down the hill on Fairview heading towards the golf course and I was turning left on the light, not paying attention to on-coming traffic. I approached the light, almost turned left, until my friend in the passenger seat screamed at me because she thought a car was going straight towards us while it wasn't... it was turning left also (which is the other direction). So, when she screamed I swerved to the right and almost hit another car. It was a near death experience... almost.

Defrost

So on my way home from my friend's house the other night, I turned on the car and realized every single window in the car was foggy. I thought nothing of it, turned on the defrost and drove off. It wasn't until I was actually on main roads that I realized the defrost wasn't helping at all. But after I hit a few more buttons on the dashboard, it kept getting worse. The front windshield kept getting foggier and foggier as I drove along. It was pretty embarrassing because I slowed down a lot since I could hardly see. I finally pulled into a gas station and sat there for a while, figured out how to get the fog to go away, and drove off.

"Put your phone away."

I thought the newest and most important driving law is no texting while driving. Well, last week I was driving around with Salem and had my phone out texting and a cop pulled up next to me. Of course I pretend like I don't see him because we were driving about 35 miles per hour down Frederica; However, the light turned red and we stopped. The cop inched closer to me and flashed his light for a second so I looked at him. He was signaling me to roll my window down so I did. There were actually two cops in this cop car, the passenger was looking at a big laptop and he rolled his window down too and said, "Put your phone away." So I did... and didn't get a ticket. Thank God.

SNOW

As we have all noticed, we have been getting some snow lately and the roads were pretty bad this past weekend. Seeing the snow trucks is usually a let-down because if they're clearing the roads, that means we'll have school. However, in my situation, I was hoping to see that snow truck. In my neighborhood, the snow truck only went on the main road that leads all the way through the neighborhood. Unfortunately I don't live on the main road of the neighborhood so my road wasn't cleared at all. It was actually more packed down from cars repeatedly driving over it and turning the snow into slush, which later turned to ice. Another point I should add about my street is that it starts off as a hill... un upward hill... which is hard to get up if there is ice on it. My dad (deciding not to buy a car with 4-wheel-drive) had a bit of trouble getting up the hill. In fact, his car didn't make it up our street at all. He attempted about 10 times, and failed about 10 times. After many failed attempts, he decided to park his car at the bottom of the hill and walk up to the house.
